Dede started business as a cafe in 1973 by Ali Denizelli (1888 – 1992) at the same spot where it is today. Ali Denizelli lived a long life, mostly on the sea serving on his clipper as a postman for many years to and from Marmaris and Rhodes Island.
His healthy life of 104 years was credited mainly to his simple diet mostly comprising of seafood and his lifestyle on the sea.
Since its foundation, our establishment has remained in the family having been converted to a beautiful restaurant meeting the needs of today. Ali’s grandchildren now run the restaurant. By naming the restaurant Dede (Grandfather) is an attempt to keep alive his name and memory.
We remember him with the deepest of respects.
Our beautiful harbour side restaurant, named after our grandfather offers you terraced dining alongside fine gulets and yachts with fabulous views extending over the sea to Icmeler.
With a comprehensive menu choice of Seafood, traditional Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine. Deserts are good enough to die for, service is impeccable and the scenery stunning. All the right ingredients for a memorable time!
The ‘balcony’ table, exclusively just for 2-4 people is perfect for a romantic meal or a special occasion.
Lunch or dinner at Dede is a must!
Dede is situated at the beginning of the harbour side just along from the Tourist Information Office, next to the Rhodes Ticket office. A sunny seafront location offering open air terraced dinning in the summer and inside cosy fireside dining in the wintertime.
